I still love trying new beauty products, especially if they help the planet. As usual, I discovered a new hair and body care brand, Everist, online. I decided that I was most interested in haircare products. Everist Concentrated Shampoo and Conditioner come in aluminum tubes that can be recycled after emptying. Importantly, both products are water-free, so no one is paying to ship water. Also, the shampoo and conditioner may be called “concentrate” because there is nothing to dilute the other ingredients with.
Here’s what the company’s two founders, Jayme and Jessica, say about their brand and products:
“Powered by our patent-pending EverCare Delivery System, our hybrid concentrate replaces water with moisturizer – delivering performance actives that deeply hydrate, support the microbiome, and build lasting skin and scalp health for spectacular results.
For us, sustainability is not an afterthought – it’s our ‘why’ and it’s at the heart of how we formulate, package and pass on beauty. Designed to outperform the old way of doing things, Everist products aren’t just better for the planet – they’re better. Duration.”
Everist products are good for people as well as the planet. The biodegradable plant-based formulas are free of harmful chemicals as well as parabens, sulfates, dyes, triclosan, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances. Importantly for my color-treated red hair, they are safe not only for color-treated but any chemically treated hair. Finally, they are cruelty-free and vegan.
Everist products are primarily manufactured in Canada and some products (hair oil) are made in California.

**************************
Evarist describes the hair products as “haircare and skin care”. “They removed the water from the shampoo and conditioner,”Packed in skin care ingredients and hair care our active ingredients are concentrated into luxury creams and powerful serums that are better for the planet and wonderful for your hair and scalp“. Basically, products should contain all the active ingredients. As a result, I was eager to try Everist hair products.
shampoo concentrate
For me, using the shampoo concentrate required a bit of learning. The first time I intended to use the shampoo concentrate in the tube, I was already in the shower when I noticed I didn’t have a key to use with the tube. I tried to squeeze out the shampoo tube, but the shampoo is so thick that I couldn’t get anything out of the tube. So instead, I used my regular shampoo.
Still, I made sure I kept the metal key on the tube while in the shower. This way, I’ll be ready!
The key is not difficult to use. It’s easy to turn with one end designed to hold a key. The tube turns downwards and stops. Once the tube is turned on, shampoo concentrate begins to come out of the tube like toothpaste, only it is thicker and more concentrated. How much came out when I used the shampoo concentrate tube for the first time:

Squeeze out a small amount, and keep the tube lid on hand to quickly cover the end of the tube, otherwise, the shampoo will keep coming out!
Make sure your hair is completely wet. And wet your hands too. Squeeze the shampoo onto your hands and work it into a lather first. Truth be told, I find it a little difficult to get the amount of lather I usually look for on my thick, dry hair. I was hoping that the shampoo concentrate would produce a lot of bubbles/foam like toothpaste, but so far, I haven’t found that to be the case. It produces some lather, but not enough for me. If your hair is short or thin or less dense, you should apply it. If you have hair like mine, it’s a little more work. Everist provides suggestions about use in the chart below. It suggests “double cleansing” which I did: squeeze some out, lather, apply to scalp, rinse and repeat with less. It seemed to work, but it would take me some time to get used to the low amount of foam.
Finally, rinse thoroughly.
PS The shampoo concentrate can be used as a body wash if you wish.

Deep Conditioning Concentrate
Deep Conditioning Concentrate is used partly as hair conditioner and partly as conditioning mask to leave hair tangle-free, smooth and silky.
This process is somewhat similar to conditioner. I removed the lid of the tube and turned the key. The deep conditioning concentrate was much more “loose” than the very thick shampoo concentrate and was much easier to get out of the tube. To be honest, the conditioner felt just like most of the regular conditioners I have used. It was easy to apply throughout my hair. I wasn’t sure how long to leave it on my hair, so I left it on for a few minutes and then rinsed it out thoroughly.
I haven’t used the scalp serum yet, but I will try it next time.
My hair turned out just like my other haircare brands. It feels soft, silky and manageable.

retail information
Each tube of shampoo and conditioner contains 3.4 fl. oz./100 ml which is approximately 30-50 washes, believed to be equivalent to 10 fl. ounce. bottle. Based on how much shampoo I’ve used so far, there’s no way I can wash 30 times with one tube. Still, the tubes are good for travel and are TSA-friendly. By the way, you have a choice when you’re ordering: tube or tin.

healthy hair system The bundle was on sale for $126, and I believe I got an extra percentage off for being a first-time customer. a single tube of shampoo concentrate Or Deep Conditioning Concentrate They cost $24 each, but they’re also sold in bundles, where you can save a little cash.
my initial thoughts
so far so good. I will continue to use Everist and see if I can get more lather from the shampoo concentrate. I need to determine how many shampoos I can get out of a tube. As much as I want to protect the planet, now is not the time to overpay for shampoo. Hopefully, I’ll master it.
Also, at some point, I may go back to adding my IGK More Gloss because I miss that glossy look.
After using Everist Multiple Peptide Scalp Serum, I will come back and review it.
