Before we get too far into March, I’m going to try to pull together my beauty preps for January and February. I have a lot. But I’ve noticed that overall I always end up “reviewing” the same products. Frankly, I’m wondering if Project PAN makes any sense anymore since I stick to my core principles. Please feel free to contribute.
Here’s what I’ve used so far in 2026:
miscellaneous products
Let’s start with miscellaneous products because I have less of them, and they tend to be products you already know about.

- Ban on AHA roll-on deodorant, pits: This AHA deodorant was sent to me a while back. This is one of the best deodorants I’ve tried, but it took me a long time to get used to it. Sadly, it’s hard to find at stores like CVS and Walgreens, although it is sold for $9.99 on the Bain website. recommend? Yes.
- Mountain Mist Cashmere Vanilla Shea Cream: I love the scent of this Shea Cream Body Butter that is handmade in a home business in the mountains of Tennessee, Mountain Mist. It is made from 30% shea butter, plant oils, glycerin and plant extracts. It works well, although may not be as good as Cocokind or Eucerin at keeping my extra dry skin hydrated over time. Still, the scent is divine. Also, if your skin is not as dry as mine, this rich body butter will definitely work for you. It comes unscented (currently out of stock) and 10 scents. For $8, it’s worth it. recommend? Yes. When we go to Asheville, I’ll try to buy some more if it’s in stock at my favorite store. If not, I can reorder and just pay for shipping.
- JustCBD Fruit Gummy Bears 1000 mg: Although I am angry with JustCBD because they have not followed through after shipping my two orders, I like this brand of CBD. recommend? Yes, I recommend the product. I also recommend a subscription service as long as you don’t try to change the delivery time.
- bon patch sleep: Besides the fact that I wish they would put some color or a visible logo on the clear patch so I would remember to take it off in the morning, I love that this patch helps me sleep. recommend? Yes.
- cvs eyelid wipes: If you have dry eyes or blepharitis, eyelid wiping is very helpful. recommend? Yes.
- Difenase 150K Hair Follicle Serum: I stopped using Vegamore a while ago and started using the more expensive Defenage 150K Hair Follicle Serum because I believe it can be more effective. Although I have been using hair growth products for several years, my hair is still making progress in growing back to its temples. recommend? Yes.
skin care
Moisturizer/Anti-Aging Cream
- Paula’s Choice Pro-CollagenPeptide Plumping Moisturizer: Lovely mid-weight peptide moisturizer that feels great. fragrance free. recommend? Yes, a year-long amazing peptide packed moisturizer in a pump container that maintains the efficacy of the product.
- IT’S CONFIDENT IN THE CREAM THAT REPLACES MOISTURIZING SUPER CREAM:IT Confidence in a Cream is an excellent, very hydrating moisturizer for cold or dry weather. fragrance free. recommend? I like this heavy-duty moisturizer, but for me, it’s not for year-round use.
- Korres Bounce Firming Moisturizer: When I first tried this multi-benefit moisturizer in the middle of summer last year, I mistakenly thought it was a heavy cream. I was wrong, it is not so. It is an ideal, medium-weight firming moisturizer. I love it. In fact, I just bought another jar. But it has a fruity aroma which disappears. recommend? Yes, enthusiastically!
- Korres Golden Crocus Hydra-Filler Plumping Cream: This heavy-duty moisturizer is derived from saffron of the crocus plant, which is believed to have anti-aging benefits, although I’m not sure what they are. Although I don’t usually have a problem with scented moisturizers, this one has a definite saffron scent that I find a little difficult to get used to. Otherwise, it’s nice cool weather, plenty of moisturizer. recommend? Probably not because of the smell, and it’s expensive.
- City Beauty Advanced Action Sculpting Cream: I use this sculpting, firming thickening cream on my jawline to make my jaw look stronger. I have got good results using this, so next time City Beauty has a sale, I will be buying another jar. recommend? Yes, it works for me!
- B. Glen Qussome Moisture RichcreamTravel Size: Honestly, I like the full B. The Glen product line, and Moisture Richcream is no exception. The fragrance-free moisturizer is a rich, velvety cream that contains the anti-aging ingredient glutathione, among other ingredients. It is great for hydrating as well as building firmness and elasticity. recommend? Yes, love it!
serum
- City Beauty Dermal Reset Exfoliating Concentrate: Although this is a completely effective exfoliating serum, I believe there are alternatives that are just as effective and less expensive. Although I’m a fan of City Beauty, this product is not one of my favorites. recommend? Not necessary.
- Korres Sculpt + Lift Serum: I purchased another travel size bottle of this amazing lifting serum at Korres last week (Duo with Korres Bounce Firming Moisturizer for $59) because I find it hard to live without it! It hardens immediately. It has a light, fruity scent which goes away within a few seconds. recommend? Yes of course. Besides, I just The full size Sculpt + Lift Serum and my favorite Black Pine 360 Eye Lifting Serum were both purchased at HSN for $59.97 each.!! Great deals and discounts. Check it out soon if you’re interested because I don’t know how long the sale will last!
- Paula’s Choice 7% Ectoin Booster with Glycogen and Hyaluronic Acid:White Ectoin Booster is great to use alone or mixed with other serums or moisturizers. I love the feel of it on my skin. In fact, recently purchased two minis to replace my empty full size bottle. recommend? I definitely recommend incorporating Ectoin into your skin care routine, whether it’s from Paula’s Choice or included in the formula of any other serum or moisturizer. You’ll be glad you did.
eye cream
- Vanish Instant Lift Brightening Eye Cream: Banish is a handmade skin care brand, and there are no preservatives in their products. Instant Lift Brightening Eye Cream was a good eye cream that I used to lighten the dark circles under my eyes and attack wrinkles. It’s supposed to cause eye damage, but luckily that’s not one of my problems. For some reason, I didn’t try it on or off my eyelids, hmm, I should have. recommend? Probably not unless you want to buy Banisher 3.0 too, as it doesn’t seem to sell itself. Still, it’s a good, multi-benefit eye cream that can be used anytime, although it was created to go with Banisher 3.0.
- Use cosmetics better than beauty-defying gravity eye lifting cream:This is at least my 10th tube of the Beauty Defying Gravity Eye Lifting Cream. In fact, this is my favorite eye cream for firming the skin above my crease. Plus, it’s amazingly hydrating. recommend? I couldn’t recommend it more strongly!
Other skin care products
- City Beauty City Lips Plumping Lipgloss, Clear: I still love this thick lipgloss with collagen and hyaluronic acid. It instantly makes my lips feel smooth, plump and healthy. recommend? Yes.
- Nulastin Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, travel size:This travel cleanser is a physical exfoliator with grains in a creamy white formula. Although it’s gentle and effective, I’m not a true fan of products with exfoliating grains. I personally find them a bit harsh for my skin and hard to remove. recommend? Nulastin makes high quality skin care products, and if you like physical exfoliators, this one is definitely worth trying.
project pan 2026
I still haven’t finished publishing my Project Pan reviews for 2025 for a few months. I am in bad condition. oh ok.
Now for 2026, I have combined January and February to shorten things. So far, I have used 19 products. not bad.
How are you? Have you used any cosmetics that you really like?
