When I was doing some shopping for the holidays in December, I purchased a few products I was curious about. One of them was Cocokind Retinol Body Cream. I’ve been wanting to try Cocokind for a long time, but I was so overloaded with skin and body care products that I put it off.
Cocokind’s background
To be honest, I was confused about the relationship between cocokind and cocoshine. Actually, there is none. They are two different brands with different ownership, although both are committed to better-for-you products and ingredients.
Founded in 2014 by Priscilla Tsai, Cocokind is a skin care brand that emphasizes plant-powered, conscious, sustainable and affordable skin care. The brand’s products that focus on barrier support and are good for sensitive skin. The brand is cruelty-free.
In terms of being a “conscious” brand, Cocokind impressed me because they break down the roles and percentages of ingredients within each product, such as humectants, emollients, preservatives, emulsifiers, carriers, etc. I was really surprised by this. I’ve never seen any other brand provide that information.
Additionally, Cocokind strives to provide packaging that respects the earth, for example the plastic cap on the body cream “reduces plastic by 55%” (although it is quite thin and I hope it doesn’t break!).
Cocokind Retinol Body Cream

Cocokind Retinol Body Cream is a lightweight cream that contains 0.05% retinol, ceramides, shea butter, plant-derived squalane, vitamin E, and more. 0.05% retinol is gentle enough to be used safely even by people with sensitive skin.

- Helps skin look firmer
- Improve uneven skin tone and texture
- Reduces acne or breakouts on the body
- Restores moisture by rebuilding the skin barrier, helping skin look and feel supple
- Absorbs quickly and is non-greasy.

My Experience So Far with Retinol Body Cream
The first time I used Cocokind Retinol Body Cream, my skin felt soft and smooth like silk. To be honest, I was convinced there must be dimethicone in the ingredient list (there isn’t!). It feels divine!
As I mentioned above, the cream is light.

Still, it’s hydrating, and it makes my skin less “flaky” while making it feel plump. The texture of my skin has improved as the dry lines that I often see on my arms and legs disappear after applying the cream.
In terms of providing a more even skin tone, I haven’t seen those results yet. To be honest, I have had so much sun damage that I doubt it would be possible to erase my dark spots. Oh well, if I had known long ago, what I know now about the effects of the sun!
Cocokind Retinol Body Cream Fragrance free, vegan and non-comedogenic.
I’ve only been using this body cream for a few weeks, but I’m impressed. Just the feel of it on my skin is enough for me to use it.
retail information
So, I purchased Cocokind Retinol Body Cream from Marshalls. I understood that it was left over from somewhere. But at $6.99, it was worth a try. However the regular price is $21 for 8 fl. oz, I believe I would pay that much for silky, smooth and firmer looking skin.
