Although I’ve never been a huge fan of Perricone MD skincare products, when I found the Eyelid Lift Serum at Marshalls, I couldn’t pass up the chance to try it. normal price of Perricone MD Essential FX Acyl-Glutathione Eyelid Lift Serum Usually $129 for 0.5 fl. ounces, while the price I paid at Marshalls was $16.99. Before purchasing the product at Marshalls, I searched the box for expiration date, but there was no expiration date.
As you may know, I’ve been using the Korres Black Pine Collection and Kat Berkey’s Eyelid Lift Serum religiously for several years, and I’m very satisfied with the results. I thought I’d try the Perricone MD Eye Serum too, to see how it compared to the other two.
Perricone MD Essential FX Acyl-Glutathione Eyelid Lift Serum
Packaging and Serum
Perricone MD Serum comes in a brown glass bottle with a dropper, which is a simple, easily reusable package compared to Kat Berkey’s dosing glass bottle and Korres’ complicated dosing device. Perricone MD solution is a cloudy white serum, and the OG dropper can be a little difficult to use. Sometimes the dropper does not take any serum, while sometimes it takes too much. But no big problem.
I believe that all three of these serums are misty white fragrance free serums that absorb quickly into the skin.
main content
Each of the three eye serums uses different key ingredients. You can read about Korres Black Pine 360 Eye-Lift Super Serum and Kat Berkey Rose Hip Intensive Recovery Eye Serum here. Perricone MD Essential FX Acyl-Glutathione Eyelid Lift Serum Uses two key ingredients new to me:
- Acyl-Glutathione: Perricone MD describes acyl-glutathione as “the master antioxidant,” the body’s primary antioxidant made up of three amino acids. Because glutathione levels decrease over time, topical application of glutathione can help look smoother and younger.
- Vitamin F Blend: Vitamin F is a blend of essential fatty acids that are not found naturally in the human body. In Perricone MD Eyelid Lift Serum, the Vitamin F blend is derived from hemp, chia and macadamia seed oils. The benefits of Vitamin F Blend are to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and promote skin softness.
Ingredients: Water/Aqua/EO, Propanediol, Pantethine, Glycerine, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, S-Palmitoylglutathione, Dimethyl MEA, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Acetyl Tyrosine, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Xanthan Gum, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Linum Usitatissimum (Flaxseed) Seed Oil, Salvia Hispanica Seed Oil, Silica Cetyl Silylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Phenoxyethanol, Silica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491)
benefits
The benefits that Perricone MD Essential FX Acyl-Glutathione Eyelid Lift Serum promises include reducing droopy, sagging eyelids by visibly smoothing eyelid creases, wrinkles, and uneven skin texture. These are the same benefits that were promised by other eyelash serums I’ve been using.
My Experience with Perricone MD Essential FX Acyl-Glutathione Eyelid Lift Serum
Sadly, the Perricone MD Essential FX Acyl-Glutathione Eyelid Lift Serum didn’t work for me. In fact, the next morning after using Perricone MD, my eyelashes became very droopy and droopy. I was shocked by this disappointing result because my eyelashes never look the same when I use Korres or Cat Berkey serum. The Perricone MD website shows results before and after 8 weeks. Honestly, I’m not going to wait 8 weeks just to see if the Perricone MD serum works, because neither of the two other serums I’m using require anything like 8 weeks to show results. To be honest, my simple choices showed immediate results.
So what’s happening?
Still I noticed it Perricone MD Essential FX Acyl-Glutathione Eyelid Lift Serum It is still sold on the Perricone MD website as well as Amazon and other sites like LookFantastic.com and LovelySkin, at a steep discount. In fact, it has been replaced by a new eyelid lift serum, Perricone MD Neuropeptide Eyelid Lift Serum With a very different ingredients list but the same $129 price.
At any rate, I would skip the Perricone MD product, and go back to my usual favorites. Glad I only paid $16.99 for this soon to be discontinued product.
Still, I’m curious to know if any of you have tried the Perricone MD Essential FX Acyl-Glutathione Eyelid Lift Serum, and if so, what were your results? Have you tried the new version, Perricone MD Neuropeptide Eyelid Lift Serum?
