DermalActive’s Purifying Apple Cider Toning Mist came in one of my recent Ipsy boxes. Because I’m at the end of my normal day, I decided to try DermalActives, a gentle, calming toning mist from TonyMoly, The Choc Choc Green Tea Watery Skin.
Here are the details of DermalActives:
“A refreshing and revitalizing toner that combines the power of apple cider with skin-loving ingredients to improve your complexion. This gentle, alcohol-free mist helps cleanse oil-based impurities and debris without drying out your skin, making it the perfect companion for daily use.
Formulated with glycolic acid, it works to revitalize dry skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores. It also evens out the tone and texture of your skin, giving you a smoother, more refined look. A blend of allantoin provides soothing and conditioning benefits, while pro-vitamin B5 provides long-lasting moisture. Pyrus malus (apple) juice, rich in antioxidants, helps protect your skin from environmental damage and free radicals.
Since it’s been a while since I used glycolic acid, it took DermalActive’s Purifying Apple Cider Toning Mist about a week for my skin to get used to the GA. To be honest, it was inconvenient to use initially as it irritated my skin. But once my skin adapted to glycolic acid, I started enjoying using it. During the heat and humidity of summer when my face sometimes gets covered with dirt from my garden, sweat or beach sand, it is so refreshing to cleanse my skin and follow with DermalActives Toning Mist. It also removes dead skin cells. Using it this time of year is like a “re-set” for my skin.
The Apple Cider Toning Mist can be used for all skin types, including mature, dry, semi-sensitive skin like mine. I believe it will be very useful for oily, combination or acne-prone skin types.
Another thing I like about the heavy glass spray bottle is the gentleness of the spray. It’s actually a fog. I usually hate spraying anything on my face, but I have no problems with this product.
DermalActives is free of parabens, sulphates, petroleum, mineral oil and artificial fragrances. For me, it is almost completely fragrance-free: it has a very faint fruity (apple-like) scent which disappears before the mist dries.
However DermalActives costs $75 for 2.5 fl. at oz./75 ml DermalActives Official Website or on AmazonYou can get it here belk, Famous, reputable Southeastern department stores and online retailers where it’s regularly priced at $30 and is on sale for $24 through July 5th. If you feel comfortable shopping at Poshmark, eBay or Mercari, as well as Rue Lala and Ecosmetics, you can get it at an even lower price. On the first three sites, those products likely came from people who received them in their Ipsy boxes.
