Hmm, looks like Ipsy has dropped the BoxyCharm name from its full-size products subscription boxes. I guess they found that the BoxyCharm name wasn’t adding anything. I understand.
Anyway, I received my subscription box yesterday. Since I get my box every other month, unfortunately I forgot that I was getting a box in March. By the time I thought about it, time had moved on and I missed the first three days of the month when I could choose my products. Bummer.
This is what Ipsy chose for me.

- cheekbone beauty Face Primer, shade Moon Dew: Although I never use anything that “goes all over glow,” I believe I can and will use this lightweight gel, champagne-tinted primer on top of my foundation as a highlighter on my cheeks and the tip of my nose. In fact, it is not very bright at all, but gives off a yellow, moonlit night glow. Cheekbone Beauty is a Canadian, vegan brand. They replaced this Liquid Moon Dew Primer with the Illuminating Primer Stick which is currently sold out. $29

- Sela Glacier Clay Mask: I love Cella skincare and bodycare products. This is one of my favorite brands to get in an Ipsy box. Too bad they sent me the clay mask knowing that I have dry, mature skin. I have not opened the tube so I will give it to someone who has combination or oily skin who will appreciate it. $38
- Sorosi Vita-Tangerine Spotlight Eye Cream: New to me Korean family-owned brand, Sorosi, is formulated with green tangerine that visibly lightens dark circles and brightens dull skin. When I opened the tube to try it out, I was surprised to see that the light eye cream was the same color as the tube! Since this undereye brightening cream works over time, I didn’t see any change in my dark circles after the first application. I will give it a chance. I can always use another brightening eye cream. $36

- Korres Pure Greek Olive Body Cream, Fragrance Honey Pear: Because I wasn’t crazy about the scent of the Korres Pure Greek Olive Body Cream in Herbal Olive scent, which I purchased about a year ago, I wasn’t thrilled to see it in my Ipsy box. But when I opened the tube and tried it, it had a beautiful, natural-scented pear scent. I like the scent of honey pear much more than olive. This would make a great body cream for spring and summer. $32
- Artist Couture Supreme Nudes Palette: Although I mainly apply cream eyeshadows to my dry lids when I wear eyeshadow, I really like the shades in this palette. While Artist Couture calls the shades “nudes”, in person they look like autumn shades that usually work well with my blue eyes and dyed red hair ;-). The palette has a nice, big mirror. And the shadows aren’t made with talcum powder, which is a good thing. They contain dimethicone, a smoothing ingredient that I can wear, but I know some can’t. Fragrance-Free, Silicone-Free, Sulfate-Free, Talc-Free, Parabens-Free, Cruelty-Free. This palette was launched in 2020, but the brand seems to have gone out of business. I can’t remember the name, but there’s a picture of a famous MUA on the cover.

thoughts so far
Although it’s not my favorite box from Ipsy, it’s still okay. I would use 4 out of 5 products, and Cela is a great brand, just the clay mask doesn’t work for my dry skin.
The box is worth $180 for $36. I remember when Ipsy used to give away about $300 worth of boxes that contained several products that cost over $100. I guess those days are gone.
